  • BASICS OF IPR & IMPORTANCE OF INNOVATORS & ENTREPRENEURS

    A one-day lecture on the topic "Basics of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Importance of Innovators and Entrepreneurs" was organized by Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with Department of Bioresources, Government Degree College for Women, Pulwama. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Tanveer Bilal Pirzadah, an expert in the field of intellectual property and entrepreneurship.

  • Celebration of International Microorganisms Day

    The Department of Bioresources & Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Government Degree College for women, Pulwama has celebrated “International Microorganisms Day” under the theme “Microbes through Foldscope for Beginners” on 17th September, 2023. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fascinating world of microorganisms and the innovative Foldscope technology, enabling them to explore the microscopic world in a practical and hands-on manner.


  • Celebration of International Year of Millets 2023

    The Department of Bioresources & Botany, Government Degree College for Women, Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir celebrated the “International Year of Millets 2023” on 20th of May, 2023 with great enthusiasm and fervor. This event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of millets in promoting sustainable agriculture, improving food security, nutritional challenges and addressing climate change, the main objectives of the G20 Summit-2023.

    Department of Commerce and Department of Economics, Government Degree College for women Pulwama, organized an extension lecture on Labour Day for the students and faculty members of the college. The theme of the lecture was “Unorganised sector and Social security of Labour: Brief analysis of Labour laws in India”.
