The Department of Education Govt. Degree College for women Pulwama was established in 2008, offering a six-semester long course in Education under the Choice Based Credit System(CBCS) and NEP . The Department offers many Core Corses enlisted in the table below besides many  skill enhancement courses like Educational technology, Early Childhood Care and Education, Guidance and Counselling. The department adopts a blended approach to learning as it has sufficient technical support to run blended classes. The Department is having a rich library with about 1000 books on different subjects and titles. Besides Departmnt has sufficient laboratory equipments for first hand experience on different practical aspect of subject.
