Module course in Environmental Science:
Environmental studies, in this college, is taught as a module course to all the students irrespective of the program. The purpose of this course is to educate the students about the various environmental components-physical, chemical, biological, social and economic. The pass outs of this course are fully aware of the interdependence of the environmental components and their impact on the human population. The students during the course of study in this college are made aware of the different burning environmental issues at global, national and local levels, so that they become sensitized and responsible citizens to contribute to overcome these. The students are given full understanding of different types of resources, biodiversity, environmental pollution and the various legislative tools to protect and conserve different bio-spheric assets. The students who successfully complete the course are expected to be able to demonstrate a general understanding of the breadth and inter-disciplinary nature of the environmental issues.
Three year undergraduate course in History:
History is one of the subjects offered in our institution. Every nation’s culture and traditions are embedded in its history. The transfer of these values to our next generation is made possible by teaching history at college level. However, the scope of history has widened in present curriculum by incorporating skill enhancement courses in syllabi. These include Archaeology and History of tourism in Kashmir thereby widening the scope of understanding history in a better way. History is taught by following inter-disciplinary approach, thus cutting across all the barriers of space and time. Thus the purpose of teaching history at our college is to make our students aware about rich cultural legacy in order to develop among them the feeling of patriotism and nationalism.
Three year undergraduate course in Chemistry:
Three year undergraduate course in Chemistry of our college prepares students for career as professional or researchers in the field of chemistry by developing knowledge base in theory as well as expertise in laboratory works.
An ability to employ critical thinking and effective problem solving skills in four basic areas of chemistry (Analytical, Inorganic, Organic and Physical).
An ability to conduct experiments analyze data and interpret results while observing responsibility and ethical scientific conduct.
An ability to work effectively in diverse teams, both class work and laboratory.
Students should be able to describe the concept both and writing and orally for chemical processes and procedures.
Students will be able to design and carry out synthesis of different organic compounds in pure form in a well designed fashion keeping the focus on principles for effective synthetic strategies, stereo selectivity and catalysis.

India is a multi cultural and multi religious country as the preamble of our country enshrines India as a country where the people have solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, Republic. To uphold all the values of our constitution and to make aware our students about their legal, political and other rights is the purpose of teaching Political Science at our college.
Various programs are organized in our college to throw light on the various issues pertaining to fundamental rights and duties of the citizens of our country. India is a democratic country and there are many challenges before it, Communal harmony, caste system, unity among diversity. The outcome of teaching Political Science is aimed at preparing our students to make them responsible citizens in order to achieve the goals of attaining democratic values.

One of the largely opted courses in our college is sociology. A large chunk of our students study sociology. The vision of our college is to make our institution a center for women Emancipation and Empowerment. The teaching of sociology aims at upholding on to our vision and to strive for its excellence.
Indian society is a diverse society with multi languages and multi castes. There are always changes in our society and social changes is most important one. We are moving towards an age where there is little scope for social values and they are diminishing day by day so our institution aims to inculcate and to uphold onto these values to our students. Thus the aim is to protect our society from diminishing and to keep our social fabric strong the teaching of sociology is important aspect of our curriculum.

Arabic is the fourth most spoken language in the world. About 315 million people in 58 countries speak Arabic as their first language. Arabic is the language of holy Quran. We will be able to understand Islam better if we are able to read Quran and understand its teachings. We will be able to benefit economically. For Arabic literates, Natural resources abounding in the Middle East speaking Arabic, will open many job opportunities. Literary Arabic which is also called standard Arabic or modern standard Arabic is used today in formal speech and writings in Arabic world. While classical Arabic was used in Islamic Literature of the 7th to 9th centuries. Our college has introduced modern spoken Arabic as a subject for undergraduate courses in order to boost the students with the modern technique of this important language.
